Dr Jean-Philippe DACQUIN, obtained his PhD from the University of Lille I. During this period, he has successfully contributed on the development of catalytic end-of-pipe technologies for the simultaneous abatement of nitric and nitrous oxides within a European Polish/French research network. In January 2009 he joined, as a Post Doctoral Research Associate, a major EPSRC-funded project at the Cardiff Catalysis Institute following 10 months at the University of York. He is involved in the development of a new heterogeneously catalysed process for biodiesel synthesis. This topic is dealing with synthesis, characterisation and testing of macro-mesostructured heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel synthesis. He has been appointed to a lectureship at the UCCS for studying the nanostructuration as a guiding tool for the synthesis of various catalytic supports applied to environmental catalysis.
